In October and November, more than 200 technology and operations professionals from the investment management world attended CutterResearch events. Held in New York, London and Boston, the events allowed CutterResearch members to hear Cutter's latest research on reconciliation solutions, pitch book and client presentation systems, and automating business processes. In London, attendees also learned how to comply with the new GDPR rule coming into to effect in 2018 from Jocelyn Paulley (Gowling WLG) and James Tedman (ACA Aponix).

“Since our member firms select the topics they want us to research, the meetings typically attract a broad range of attendees. But at these meetings, there was a consistent focus on automation”, said Mary Storrs, Director of CutterResearch. “Automating business processes is critical as firms continue to feel cost pressures. They continue to look for efficiencies and ways to eliminate manual processes, so our presentations on automation technologies as well as the tools that can be used in the reconciliation process were on point.”

In addition to the CutterResearch attendees, 22 industry vendors exhibited at the events and had opportunities to highlight their latest products and connect with CutterResearch members. As one attendee noted, “These meetings are a great opportunity to learn about what peers are doing, what vendors are offering, and network with people we would not otherwise have the opportunity to meet.”

The next round of CutterResearch in-person events will be held in May and June of 2018 in New York, London, Sydney, and Los Angeles.
