Arnie Wachs, Head of Consulting at Cutter Associates, brings extensive business and technical knowledge to the role, with over 30 years of investment management industry experience. Arnie advises clients on their strategic technology direction, data governance practices, trading platforms and practices, portfolio management tools, and operational organization, as well as data management architecture, tools, and practices. He has extensive experience working for investment management firms, financial software vendors, and consulting firms, in roles that included business analyst, developer, system architect, development management, project management, product management, sales, and executive positions. He has a deep understanding of investment management system use and design. He also leads the firm’s Technology and Architecture practice.
Prior to joining Cutter, Arnie worked for ITG, where he led the product management efforts for the development of the next-generation OEMS platform. Prior roles include Head of Equity Systems at BlackRock Solutions, Senior Product Manager at Charles River Development, and Vice President at Fidelity Investments, where he designed and developed the firm’s global trading platforms. Arnie also led efforts at State Street Global Advisors to create an enterprise-wide, cross-asset class security and benchmark master. He holds a Bachelor of Science in physics from Clarkson University.
Subbiah Annamalai is the Portfolio Requirements/Data Lead for Nationwide Mutual Insurance, where Nationwide Investments manages more than $100 billion in assets. Prior to joining Nationwide, Subbiah worked for International Finance Corporation. He is a PMP and PMI Agile Certified Professional with more than 13 years of Business and IT experience. Subbiah specializes in implementation consulting, focused on COTS product customization, data management, systems integration, and product management. His business specializations include capital markets, asset and portfolio management, and retail banking. Subbiah studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Madras.
Suvrat currently serves as the Chief Data Officer and Head of Innovation for UBS Asset Management. In this role, he drives the data strategy, analytics strategy, data governance and innovation strategy for the division.
Orlando Colamatteo is a Technical Director with Charles Schwab Investment Management, where he is focused primarily on data architecture. He is currently contributing to a data platform modernization effort for the Schwab Mutual Fund, ETF, and CTF businesses. The initial emphasis of the project is on modernizing master data management, data governance, data quality, and data presentation of fund accounting and market data, in order to meet SEC filing requirements of N-PORT, N-CEN and N-LIQUID. Orlando joined Schwab seven years ago, and before that he served companies in the telecommunications, medical, and online services industries. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University.
Yury joined Harris Associates in 2012, where he is responsible for enterprise architecture, software development, and support, including managed services. From 2008 until 2012, he was the head of IT at Sawdust Investment Management, a multi-strategy investment firm. From 2005 until 2008, Yury led the creation and implementation of federated market data services and trading systems at Bank of America. From 1997 until 2005, he oversaw one of the largest data integration and distribution systems at UBS Investment Bank. Yury earned a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Vince Pasqualicchio is the Investment Operations Director for American Family Insurance. Vince has responsibilities for Trade Operations (trade settlement, cash and position reconciliation, cash management, custody), Investment Risk Management, Performance and Attribution, Compliance, Information Technology, Data Management, and Reporting. In addition, he has responsibility for the Investment department strategic goals, budget, market data and vendor management.
Prior joining American Family, Vince worked for Cutter Associates as a Senior Consultant. There, he worked with insurance companies and global investment management firms to develop strategies, select system solutions, improve business processes, and led system implementations for Cutter Associates clients.
Prior to Cutter Associates, Vince worked at Metlife as a Vice President of Investment Technology and Operations, supporting Investments Global Operations.
