John Refford joined Cutter Associates in 2018 as a consultant in the client-facing practice. John brings deep expertise in digital marketing technology within the financial services industry. Prior to joining Cutter, John spent 20 years at Natixis Investment Managers, most recently as Senior Vice President, Marketing Technology. There, John led the effort to digitize and modernize the firm’s marketing strategy by launching new digital capabilities and marketing channels. He pioneered the firm’s social media and lead generation programs focused on building brand awareness and driving advisor engagement. Prior to joining marketing at Natixis, John spent 12 years in IT, where he was responsible for the firm’s system, network, and security for global offices. John was a member of the Investment Management Education Alliance and served as a Digital Council board member from 2015 to 2017. A recognized leader in digital strategies, John has presented numerous times at industry events on digital marketing topics. He holds a bachelor of science in computer science from Fitchburg State College, a graduate certificate in technology management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from Babson College.
Anna Schneider researches and analyzes market data, conceptualizes and writes research reports, and presents research to relevant networks in international settings. Anna is focused on researching the Asian wealth management landscape. She is especially focused on the China’s financial services sector, including how it is impacted by disruptive technological, economic, legal, and regulatory developments, and the related implications for wealth management industries worldwide. Anna holds a double master’s degree in Chinese-European economic and business studies from the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China, and the Berlin School of Economics and Law in Germany. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies and management from the University of Applied Sciences in Constance, Germany. Anna is fluent in English and holds an Advanced Certificate HSK 6 in Chinese. Her native language is German.

Cordy is the Assistant Vice President, Social Media Manager of State Street Global Advisors. In this role, Cordy is responsible for the company’s social media presence and strategy from content development to paid and organic promotion to metrics tracking and reporting. Her work promotes the brand at large, different capability channels for institutional investors, thought leadership, executive speakers and key marketing campaigns. Her work on the Fearless Girl campaign earned a Bronze award at the Financial Communications Society 25th Anniversary Portfolio Awards in May 2019 for their Non-Paid/Organic achievements for “Fearless Girl: Bigger Stage, Bigger Impact” as the statue was placed in front of the New York Stock Exchange.
Prior to joining State Street Global Advisors Cordy was the Social Media Manager at Natixis Investment Managers where she supported both the institutional sales business as well as ETF funds. Cordy also has experience working in Public Relations at Bain & Company as well as fundraising and communications from her time with the Harvard College Fund.
Cordy holds Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Cultural Geography from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. She sits on the Board of Governors for the Human Rights Campaign and is an active representative for them across the US and in New England. Around Boston, Cordy volunteers with the Elizabeth Stone House, Pine Street Inn, and the Boston Food Bank.
Jay Wightman has built his career at the intersection of business, digital innovation, and end-user experience. As an innovator and entrepreneur, Jay has been a founding member of several Boston-based startups focused on the defining challenges of our time: scaling business models over the web, rethinking legacy offerings with a focus on digital experience, and transforming marketing organizations through web, mobile, and cloud technologies. Jay brings this expertise and his experience managing cross-functional teams to his role as Head of Digital Experience at John Hancock investments, where he is responsible for driving digital transformation.
Miriam A. Wolf is the Digital Engagement Manager for the Asset and Wealth Management Division of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. She is responsible for the strategies and processes driving social, audio, and AI engagement. Previously, she served in Asset and Wealth Management as Business Manager to the Chief Marketing Officer, coordinating numerous teams charged with global delivery of strategic marketing initiatives.
