Tom Phipps has more than 25 years of experience in the investment management industry, with a background in the automation of the investment process including portfolio management, risk analytics, trading, compliance, performance, and technology integration. Tom heads up the Operational Strategies practice and provides strategic advice services to our asset management clients and delivers leading industry perspectives at our client events and conferences. His consulting experience includes strategic advisory engagements for some of the world’s most prominent investment management firms. Tom gained his expertise in technology and operations at software vendors and asset management firms, where he held leadership roles in technology management. Tom holds a B.S. in Operations Management and an M.I.S. from Florida State University.
Mary Storrs has more than 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. She has been with Cutter Associates for more than 20 years, first as a consultant focusing on front office projects, and then with CutterResearch since its inception. Mary has authored CutterResearch reports on many topics, including trading, portfolio management, transaction cost analysis, investment research management, and market data systems. She led the Research division, and the Benchmarking team for eight years, overseeing all content development and helping members understand their capabilities compared to industry peers and best practices. She assumed leadership of Strategy in 2019 and is responsible for spearheading firm-wide management programs. Mary holds a B.S. from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Babson College.
Jay has 28 years of experience in Government, Consulting, and Industry. At Invesco he led the Front Office technology teams, before leading one of the largest middle office transformations in the industry. He recently led the technology integration between Invesco and OppenheimerFunds. Jay is a Director within the Internal Consulting organization.
Tanya Sargeon is the Vice President of the Business Process Reengineering team at American Century Investments, a premier investment manager headquartered in Kansas City, MO. She is currently responsible for leading the internal process consulting group as well as a Robotic Process Automation development team.
Tanya has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology; both as an application developer and leader of technology teams in Investment Operations and Corporate Applications. Over the course of those years, she has supported the Shareholder Services, Investment Management and Corporate functions of the company.
Tanya earned her B.S. in Computer Science from Rockhurst University.
