Senior Research Analyst - Investment Operations and Technology (Europe)

Cutter Associates LLC seeking a Senior Research Analyst, in Europe, to be an integral part of our Global Investment Management Research and Benchmarking Team.  Only candidates with Investment Management, Technology and Operations experience, will be reviewed and considered for this position. Candidates can reside in the UK or anywhere in Europe, and the work is all remote besides for traveling (when safe) to our research conferences (TBD).

Senior Research Analyst - Wealth Management (North America)

Cutter Associates is seeking a Senior Research Analyst, with a specialization in Wealth Management, to become an integral part of our Global Research and Benchmarking Team.  Our Research Team keeps asset and wealth management firms informed with the most current trends, and information on investment systems, wealth management platforms, operations, strategy, and industry best practices.

 

This research position focuses on the trends, tools, and technologies in the wealth management space. Responsibilities include developing compelling research and benchmarking studies on a variety of topics related to wealth management operations and technology and communicating analysis and trends in written reports, presentations, and client interactions.

Senior Consultant (US)

Cutter Associates is looking to hire Senior Consultants who have 10-15+ years of direct experience in technology solutions and operations within an asset manager, within the investment division of other financial services companies and or at a wealth manager.

Cutter Associates supports investment management, wealth management and Public Fund & Pension firms through a powerful combination of three interrelated services: Consulting, Benchmarking, and Research. We have ongoing relationships with over 240 asset managers, asset owners and asset servicers in the US, EMEA and Australia. Cutter currently has offices in a suburb of Boston, in London and in Sydney.

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 10-15+years of experience in investment management operations and technology in one or more of the following areas:
    • front-office to back-office processes or systems
    • system selection and implementation with systems such as Eagle, SimCorp and Aladdin

Senior Consultant - Investment Management & Superannuation Operations and Technology (Australia)

Cutter Associates is searching for an experienced, in-market Senior Consultant with deep knowledge of the investment management end to end workflow, who can play a lead role in consulting execution in the Australian market. We provide consulting services to the Investment Management industry, in the areas of Operating Model Design, Front, Middle & Back Office solutions & sourcing, implementation support and operational efficiency.

Cutter is an established global firm, supporting over 200 investment management firms, both for-profit and public, through a powerful combination of three interrelated services: Consulting, Benchmarking, and Research. Cutter supports Investment Managers & Superannuation clients to define and execute on transformational programs to address existing challenges and future proof their business. 

Having been active in the Australian market for two plus years, Cutter has seen a quick uptake in its services by the market’s largest firms, with further demand being initiated by those clients. We recently opened an office in Sydney to continue building the local business to meet client needs.

As part of this role, the Senior Consultant would execute on consulting engagements covering Investment Operating Model design, System or Service Provider Selection, Project Management to support Implementation of systems or service providers as well as Data Management, and Data warehousing in existing accounts.

There is also the potential to take on the broader role of building and leading a team as we expand into Asia, but for now we have consulting opportunities in Australia and need strong candidates who can work with us independently. 

The candidate will reside in Australia. We will not relocate for this position.

Senior Business Analyst (US)

Cutter Associates LLC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for its growing Implementation Services practice.  The Business Analyst’s primary objective is to help our clients implement investment management technology solutions in a cost-effective way using a variety of analysis techniques and project delivery practices.

Candidates can either be based in the continental U.S. and should have should have at least five years of financial services business analysis experience with exposure to any of the following business processes within Investment Operations:

  • investment risk and exposure reporting
  • portfolio management and trading
  • compliance monitoring
  • confirmation/settlement and derivative servicing and/or
  • investment recordkeeping/accounting.

 

Familiarity with investment management vendor applications is desired (E.g. Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM, Charles River IMS, LineData, Eagle Star/Pace, Market EDM/Cadis, BI-SAM, SimCorp Dimension).

Candidates should have experience analyzing business processes, developing business and functional requirements, functional testing and working as part of both agile and non-agile software development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with project technical and business leads to define business case, document statement of work and set key milestones.
