Rockland, MA – April 27, 2022 – Cutter Associates, a leading global provider of research and consulting services for the investment management industry, hired Rein van Rooyen as Senior Director, based in the Sydney office. He joins the rapidly expanding consulting practice, which includes 13 new hires in recent months, due to the growing demand for advisory services among asset managers and superannuation funds.
Rein brings over 15 years of experience serving the global investment management, banking, superannuation and insurance industries. He specializes in investment management system use and design, and has deep expertise in leading change agendas, including building capabilities, integrating functions, culture journeys, structure re-alignment, and operational transformations.

Prior to joining Cutter, Rein led the middle and back office at QSuper, including investment data, performance and analytics, investment risk and compliance, trade support, cash and treasury, collateral management and optimization, valuations and alternatives, investment implementation and deal team as well as fund operations for the AUD 100 billion fund. Prior to moving to Australia, he worked for PwC in the UK and the Netherlands leading client engagements including new start up banks, trading desks, financial reporting and treasury capabilities, risk functions, and capital optimization programs.
