Cutter Associates, LLC, the leading provider of operations and technology expertise to the investment management industry, recently completed their Autumn Events series. The events brought together over 350 leading technology and operations professionals from over 100 of the world’s leading asset managers, insurance companies, and public funds.

“Attendance at our meetings continues to grow,” said Linda Bertone, Managing Director of Cutter Associates’ Client Services. “The format of the meetings provides multiple opportunities for participants to connect – be that at roundtable meetings, in the exhibit hall or at dinner events.”

The events, which are held in the major financial cities of New York, London and Boston, featured research presentations on the Investment Book of Record (“IBOR”), Data Access for Business Users and How Asset Management Firms are Managing Operating Costs.

As Mary Storrs, Head of Cutter Associates’ Research practice explained, “Because our research topics are driven by our member community, we are finding that the attendees at our events are fully engaged in all the topics on the agenda. They also value the opportunity to connect with their peers to share ideas and best practices, talk about industry challenges, and get fresh insights into how other firms are using technology.”

Dan Kale, Managing Director of Information Technology at TCW expanded, “I appreciate the candor of the presenters and synthesis of their research. It is one of the few ways to gain insight across a range of firms with similar challenges and solutions.”

Research topics for the first half of 2015 have been selected and CutterResearch analysts are already busy examining Order Management Systems, Cyber Security, Regulatory Reporting Systems and Services and the processes and controls around Data Management and Governance.

Spring 2015 meetings are scheduled for May (London and New York) and June (Boston).
