In this research, we discuss how a well-designed client portal can benefit asset managers and their end clients, in addition to members' current state and challenges with their portals. We explain various client portal capabilities, the types of portal vendors, and evaluate the vendor solutions.
Asset managers can meet their clients' expectations for personalized, relevant, and frequent delivery of information in many ways — and a well-designed portal is chief among them. Digital account information is driven by a need to differentiate, changing demographics with new expectations, and a push to create efficiency. An opportunity exists for asset managers to enhance their clients' portal experience by implementing a solution designed with persona-based use cases that support modern users' needs.
We evaluate client portal solutions from the following vendors: Assette, Clearwater Analytics, FactSet, Kurtosys, Satuit, SimCorp, and Unqork.
