David Joyce leads Cutter Associates’ Client Experience, ensuring client satisfaction across all engagement points as the voice of the client within Cutter. A senior technology and operations leader, David brings over 25 years of experience in leading operations, risk, and technology teams to help them devise and implement agile solutions, mitigate risk, increase scale, and build a culture of operational excellence.
Most recently, he served as an independent consultant to asset management, insurance, and fintech firms, providing expertise and guidance in the areas of derivatives, portfolio integration, customer success, project management, regulatory and control environments, and software development and implementation. Prior to consulting, David spent 20 years at American International Group (AIG) in a variety of increasingly senior roles. At AIG, he implemented innovative tactical and strategic solutions for the firm’s global businesses and led over 40 employees in multidisciplinary teams that performed investment and insurance operations, regulatory and control supervision, IT support, and workforce and facilities management.
John Clark is the CEO of Cutter Associates and has more than 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. Formerly the head of Cutter’s Consulting division, John still actively participates in consulting projects, as a trusted client advisor for high-level planning and strategy, including setting priorities and managing capital investments. John also provides expert oversight and guidance on more complex strategy engagements. John’s experience covers all aspects of investment management. John is well known in the industry and is sought out to speak at industry conferences and events. He has also been quoted in many industry periodicals. Prior to joining Cutter Associates, John held senior roles as President and COO for several software companies, including DST Belvedere, Longview Group, and SunGard. John holds a B.A. from Tufts University.
John McDonough is responsible for client management and business development in Canada, New England, and the southeastern region of the United States for Cutter Associates. John has spent 22 years in the financial services industry primarily in a sales capacity. Prior to joining Cutter Associates in 2011, John managed and developed client relationships for State Street, Standard & Poor’s, and Thomson Reuters while selling risk management, research, and fixed income analytics services to asset management clients. John began his professional career as a mutual fund accountant at Brown Brothers Harriman. John holds a B.S. in Marketing from Westfield State University and M.B.A. from Suffolk University.
As a Head of SLC Management IT within SunLife’s Digital Business and Technology Solutions team (DBTS), Maya is responsible for end-to-end technology solutions, services and delivery to SLC Management. Maya works with senior leaders across SLC Management to enable IT solutions that align with their business strategies. Maya leads a team of ~100+ technology professionals spread across Canada, the United States, India and Philippines. Those teams provide technology strategy, technology solutions, project delivery and operational support for SLC’s Distribution, Front, Middle and Back Office systems. Maya just recently joined Sun Life in April 2022 and has previously served in various technology leadership positions for the last 25 years at technology and financial institutions that include Intel Corporation, CIBC and TD. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Ben-Gurion, Israel and a Master degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Denver, USA. Maya also holds a Master Certificate in Financial Leadership from the Schulich School of Business in Canada.
