Cutter Associates, the leading provider of operations and technology research and expertise to the investment management industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Conn to the new position of Vendor Relationship Manager.
In his new role, Michael will expand Cutter Associates’ vendor relationships, foster beneficial vendor connections, and will provide vendors assessed by CutterResearch with a single point of contact. He will promote Cutter Associates within the vendor community, including vendor opportunities to exhibit at CutterResearch meetings, and keep Cutter staff up-to-date about vendor business initiatives, client events, and product development. Also critical to Michael’s new role will be helping vendors to understand the value proposition of the CutterResearch franchise, providing insight on the firm’s consulting practices, and reinforcing Cutter’s need to maintain neutrality toward vendors.
“We recognize the opportunity to formalize and proactively manage our relationships with vendors,” noted Cutter CEO James Bridgers. “They are an integral part of our value proposition. For several years, Michael has been effectively engaging with vendors in his Business Development role, and he is the perfect person to step into this position.”
Michael joined the Cutter Business Development team in 2013, and he will retain his responsibilities for sales and business development for Cutter accounts based in New York and New Jersey. Michael previously held sales positions at First Albany Capital, State Street, and Thomson Reuters.
