Vendor Relationship Manager

Cutter Associates supports investment management firms through a powerful combination of three interrelated services: Consulting, Benchmarking, and Research.

We are seeking a Vendor Relationship Manager to manage strategic relationships, increase vendor awareness of Cutter’s capabilities and activities, and sell CutterConsulting and CutterResearch services. This is a newly-created position reporting directly to the Chairman of the company. The position is located at the company’s offices in Rockland, MA.

Key responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Engage with the vendor community and educate them about our capabilities and activities
  • Gather intelligence from vendors on market activities and perception of our services
  • Identify new opportunities for business at investment management firms
  • Identify opportunities for partnering with vendors
  • Sell consulting [CutterAdvisory] and product evaluations [CutterInsight] to vendors, as well as a product providing updates about vendor products [CutterUpdate]
  • Work closely with our Events Coordinator to oversee exhibitor sales
  • Work closely with our Marketing Director to assist with marketing programs

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Required minimum of 5 years experience selling information technology products to the investment management industry
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Proven sales track record and ability to spot new market opportunities
  • Hands-on experience working with marketing and communications functions
  • Solid listening and organizational skills
  • Integrity, energy, and enthusiasm
